What to say about this awesome family???? Yup, already said it. I had such a great time in Cancun while I was down there for Rachel & Jeff’s wedding and while every single person that was there for the wedding was great, the Wiemkens really made it extra great for me. I love my family a lot, but I wouldn’t mind being a member of this family…that are that great of a group of people…true story. Randy, Kim, Rachel, Jeff, Ben, Megan, Ethan, and Libby, thank you so much for showing me a good time

I loved Rachel & Jeff’s small, intimate wedding and while the weather didn’t hold up to have the reception outside like planned, it didn’t get in our way of having fun. I loved everything about their day and loved walking around a grabbing some pics at the resort of the newlyweds My favorite things about destination weddings is how chill they are and this one was mo exception…I think the images show it.

Meghan & Mike | Chicago Engagement

One of the things I was the most “affraid” of with Meghan and Mike, was liking them too much. See, I’m not actually photographing their wedding, so I told them they better not be all awesome and my kind of peeps. Of course I didn’t really mean it and of course they are another wonderful couple in love. They took me around to some great places and we had a fun, laid-back evening made even better by some fantastic food and wine to end our evening. Courtney & Joe | Lincoln Park Engagement

I’ve known Courtney for quite a while…we went to school together and even were “going out” a few times over the years. I still remember her best from 4th grade where we were supposed to be reading a book together and didn’t want to do anything except for goof around. Courtney is and always has been an absolute sweetheart; so when I drove to Chicago for her and Joe’s engagement session and met her future husband for the first time, I wasn’t surprised at all at how great of a guy Joe is. Thank you for much for letting me come photograph you in your city, I had a terrific time and really love the connection the two of you share. Enjoy your pics!

Jenna & Joe | Engagement in Manhattan

After Stefanie and Thomas’ wedding in Boston, I took the shuttle over to Manhattan, where my brother lives. I was also there for Photo Expo Plus as well as to photograph Jenna and Joe’s engagement session. The two get hitched in a few short weeks and I’m looking forward to flying out to New Jersey to see them again and rock out their wedding.

I’ve known Jenna for quite a while…since my 8th grade year actually. We met while I went along to a band competition to help out with the 7th grade stuff. My first real memories are from the bus ride back to the school after the competition. Jenna is one of those friends that while you may not talk to all the time, when you do, you are able to pick up where you left off. Jenna has such great personality and as you can see from the pics, has become a gorgeous woman. It was so great to meet the man that makes her happy and will be sharing her life with her.

Joe is quieter than Jenna, but I can honestly say, she made a great choice! Joe, thank you for treating my friend with such acceptance, warmth, and kindness…it just makes me like you more. Jenna, I really could go on and on about my thoughts and feelings for you…I truly do love you and thinking of you and hanging out with you still makes me so happy and in such a great mood. I am honored to come out and share you and Joe’s day with you and your family and I can’t wait to meet your boys. Enjoy your pics and remember…Heemolalasheeskinfaska!

Stefanie & Thomas | Wedding in Boston

Wanda & Rourke | Bahamas Wedding Day 2

Wanda & Rourke | Bahamas Wedding Day 1

So much to say about the experience I had at Atlantis in the Bahamas documenting Wanda and Rourke‘s fantastic wedding. I was there with my friend Wayne Toshikazu, who was so important in helping me document everything and did an awesome job getting great images…thanks Wayne! I have to say the biggest thing that I loved about being there, was how much of a celebration is was for Wanda and Rourke and their friends and family who came out to celebrate along with them. Wanda and Rourke are such a fun couple, so it was no surprise that their friends and family were just as fun and everyone had a blast. I will be blogging this in three different parts, as there were three main days we were photographing everything. The first day, we did a lifestyle session around Atlantis and the surrounding area and that was followed in the evening by a little party by the aquarium.

I honestly could blab on and on about my experience there as well as about all of the awesome people I had the opportunity to meet, but I know you just want to see some pics right?!? Here is day one…

We started out on the beach…it was pretty darn hott!
