I met up with Sara and Tony on MSU‘s campus for their engagement session. I went to high school with Sara and she is also the sister of my brothers long-time friend. Sara and Tony managed to show me some great places I was unaware of on campus, which is always nice and made for some great images. Such a fun and easy couple to photograph…looking forward to their wedding next month.

So much I could say…I have know Sarah for about 10 years and am very happy to photographing her and Mike’s big day. I’m also really happy with how easy and fun they are to photograph. We stuck around Ann Arbor for the shoot and it really was a great time…it’s gonna be a fun wedding!

Meghan & Mike | Chicago Engagement

One of the things I was the most “affraid” of with Meghan and Mike, was liking them too much. See, I’m not actually photographing their wedding, so I told them they better not be all awesome and my kind of peeps. Of course I didn’t really mean it and of course they are another wonderful couple in love. They took me around to some great places and we had a fun, laid-back evening made even better by some fantastic food and wine to end our evening. I hope you like your pics as much as I enjoyed my time with you.

Courtney & Joe | Lincoln Park Engagement

I’ve known Courtney for quite a while…we went to school together and even were “going out” a few times over the years. I still remember her best from 4th grade where we were supposed to be reading a book together and didn’t want to do anything except for goof around. Courtney is and always has been an absolute sweetheart; so when I drove to Chicago for her and Joe’s engagement session and met her future husband for the first time, I wasn’t surprised at all at how great of a guy Joe is. Thank you for much for letting me come photograph you in your city, I had a terrific time and really love the connection the two of you share. Enjoy your pics!

I met up with Sue and Ryan on MSU’s campus for their engagement session. It was nice to visit a campus other that the one I practically live on and Sue and Ryan got comfortable really quickly in front of the camera, making for a laid-back and enjoyable evening. I’m excited I’m heading back there for another session soon!

Eva & Pete | Engagement

Eva and Pete wanted to use some of Ann Arbor’s architecture and art for their engagement session. It was fun to walk around and actually find stuff that I didn’t know was in my city. We ended the evening talking about cats and I got to meet theirs…it was one of those times, I didn’t feel silly talking about my cats a lot…thanks for making me feel “normal” you two. When Renee mentioned she was interested in doing a picnic with some wine and fun details for her and Brian’s engagement session, I got a little excited…to say the least. We ventured out to one of the most natural places around town, Nichols Arboretum for their session. After taking lots of pics, we went to my favorite restaurant, eve for some more wine and Inspired Nachos; an awesome end to a great shoot. Thanks for a fun experience you two.

I’m out of town until the 6th of July. I have a couple fun engagement sessions in Chicago and a wedding in Charlevoix this coming Saturday. I met up with one of my 2011 couples, before they moved out of town, for an engagement session. We had a very relaxed/chill time and the weather even cooperated for the most part We ended the evening at Cafe Habana for some good Cuban grub. I loved hanging out with Kristen and Bryan…and even though you two are no longer in town, I don’t love you any less Enjoy!

Rachel & Jeff | Engagement

I made my way out to the west side of the state to meet up with Rachel and Jeff for their engagement session. We shot around a few blocks downtown Kalamazoo before getting chilly. I think my favorite thing from their session was the way they looked at one another. They truly adore one another and sometimes it was hard not to smile too much while shooting. I am happy to be photographing their wedding on New Years Eve this year…it’s going to be a blast with these two! Thanks for braving the cold and snow Rachel and Jeff…enjoy your pics!
