You might remember Tricia and Kevin from their engagement session I did last October. We decided to get together again and take a few more shots at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor. One of the things I love about Tricia and Kevin, is how good they are at acting like the camera is not there and just having a good time. Kara & Jonathan | Wedding

Here are some pics from Kara and Jonathan’s wedding from the 14th! A big thanks to my friend Rachael, who came a long to help me document Kara and Jonathan’s big day and a big thanks to Kara and Jonathan for being so much fun to work with…thanks you two! We started out at the salon where Kara works, Utopia, and had it all to ourselves.

Lindsay & Nick | Engagement

Lindsay, Nick, and I met up on a very big night in our area…it was game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs and our Red Wings were in it. Unfortunately they lost, but we love them still. I met Lindsay and Nick through Zayna and Rani who got married last year, so I knew they were going to be my kind of people. I photographed them in Farmington at the Governor’s Mansion that is actually a little museum of sorts. I had fun with you two and I’m sorry the Wings lost Nick…we all are

Stefanie & Thomas | Engagement

I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Boston this past weekend to photograph Stefanie and Thomas’s engagement session. This was my first time in Boston and what better way to spend it that with one of my awesome couples. They took me around some popular places in Boston such as Beacon Hill (they used to live there) and the Boston Commons. I loved the vibe of the city and how clean it was. For such an old city, it looks very modern, but has a lot of great classic architecture. I’m so excited to go back in October for their wedding!

Stefanie and Thomas are definitely my type of couple, they dressed so fabulously and knew how to have fun and work it for the camera…thanks for being so awesome you two! I have to mention the restaurant they took me to, because the food was so good and the atmosphere and service was no different…it was like being in Ann Arbor, but with a little different flava. The place is East Side Grille and you must go there if you are in Boston…I had the steak tips and cheesecake for desert….mmmmmmm.

Stefanie and Thomas, you two are so cute and SO right for one another…thank you for letting me come to your home city and visit!

Lesley & Ben | Wedding

Lesley and Ben live in Cincinatti, but I am excited that that will all change in July, as they have both accepted jobs at the Univeristy of Michigan Hospital. Ben will be in the ER and Lesley will be in the ICU. Lesley went to Ohio State University, so she will literally be surrounded by the enemy…wait a minute, she married the enemy. That’s right folks, Ben is a Wolverine and Lesley is a Buckeye…I didn’t even know that was allowed, but you know what they say, “Love conquers all.”

The two said their vows at the gorgeous Polo Fields Country Club and the reception took place there as well. They did a wonderful job planning out all the details and their timeline rocked, so there was a lot of time for some awesome pics! Between the ceremony and reception, the bridal party went downtown to U of M’s campus to get some shots as well as have a little fun. The day was gorgeous and it had rained earier in the morning getting rid of the humidity as well…thank you mother nature.

My good friend and awesome photographer, Kelly Braman came a long to help document Lesley and Ben’s day and it was nice shooting with a person I talk to almost every day, but hardly get to see. Thanks Kelly…you rock!

All in all, it was such a fun day and even though I was “working” for 15 hours, I’m happy to say I wasn’t in that much pain the next day

I am so excited that they are moving closer to me, so we can hang out…they are my type of people. Thanks for letting me party with you and I can’t wait to hang out with you this summer! Enjoy your pics…

I try and borrow the bride and groom during the reception when the light is all tasty and glowy and Sunday was no exception, although I do think we had extra tasty light…love these:)

Taking a few minutes away from the reception lets the bride and groom get a little alone time and more emotion comes out…I heart alone time.

I will end with my favorite. This was taken right after we got done when we were heading back into the reception and I just loved the way Ben was helping Lesley…I feel there is a lot of symbolism for their lives together in this shot. I am for sure ordering this…BIG!

Emily & Jon | Wedding

Emily and Jon tied the knot this past Saturday and we had lovely weather for a great wedding. The ceremony took place in Toledo a the Church Emily grew up going to and it was so beautiful and let in such great light. This was my first wedding of the season and what a great start it was. It was nice to see many familiar faces from Jessica + Chris’ wedding and it made it that much more fun to document their day. Have fun on your honeymoon you two and remember to hit up Cedar Point on your way back

Leah Judith | Week One

If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted this yet, well, so am I. Josh and Laura wanted to wait until the annoncements were out, which I thought was a great idea, but that was weeks ago. Here is a slideshow from Leah’s week one session, this was done back on January 30th, exactly one week after her birthday. I just saw her last week and she sure is growing, but still a cutie…of course! Enjoy the slideshow…

Raechel & Josh | Album

Well, it’s that time of the year…meaning I’m busy designing and ordering albums. It is one of my favorite things to do, because as a wedding photographer, I am there to tell the story of my couples day and nothing does that better than a gorgeous leather flushmount album full of awesome images! Below is a slideshow of a design I finished up last week of my first beach wedding from this September. Raechel and Josh’s wedding was a blast and I love they way their album turned out…I can’t wait to get it. Their album is 12″x12″ covered in smouldering brown leather.
