I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderfully intimate proposal last night.  Michael popped the question around 8pm to a speechless Heather who of course said, “YES!”  Kaeli of Luna Soiree did a perfect job at getting everything together and creating a setting for an unforgettable proposal  Congrats Heather & Michael…we wish you all the best in your lives together!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Melissa for a few years now and while I don’t see her that often, it’s great to be able to watch her family grow through her mad blogging skills.  Melissa is in addition to being a wonderful mother, an amazing photographer as well…let’s just say, she is who I would hire if I were to start a family of my own and wanted to great newborn or family pics!  Thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family Melissa

I photographed Melissa & Matt’s wedding a couple years ago, so it was great to get to photography their family  Melissa and Matt have since become friends and I’m happy to say Melissa has become a wonderful wedding and event planner and owns and operates All About You Productions and also founded the Before You “I Do” wedding forum that had it’s second show yesterday

While photographing Emily, I randomly shot a few quick clips.  I created a short little movie, which I’m calling a motion portrait…I feel it does a great job of showing Emily’s presence as well as a feel for the sessions itself.  Enjoy

A few weeks ago, I met up with Kaitlin & Mike for their engagement session at the Grosse Pointe Academy where Kaitlin used to go to school.  It was a perfect place or some fun pics of the two and we had some lovely light as well  I adore this session and am excited to see them both in less than two weeks  Everything was shot with my Nikon F100, 24 f/1.4, 35 f/1.4, 50 f/1.4, and 85 f/1.4 on Kodak Portra 400 and processed by the awesome peeps at Richard Photo Lab.

I’ve wanted to photograph Kate for a while, so we made it happen on a crazy hot day.  Kate, who is as equally awesome behind the camera, as in front of it came out to Ann Arbor for some pics and sushi  I love how everything turned out, but have to give her equal amount of credit for being so wonderful to photograph.  All images shot with my Contax 645 loaded with Fuji 400H and the 45 f/2.8, 80 f/2, and 140 f/2.8 lenses.
