I went out west the end of September to spend some time with my mom in San Francisco and photograph Julie & Bobby’s engagement session. I was a short, but great trip and I’m so glad Julie & Bobby took me around their city and I got to experience some of what the area has to offer, along with take some pics of the two love birds
Thank you for hanging out with me and being so wonderful to photograph!

While photographing Emily, I randomly shot a few quick clips. I created a short little movie, which I’m calling a motion portrait…I feel it does a great job of showing Emily’s presence as well as a feel for the sessions itself. Enjoy![]()
brilliant, man, great stuff! love the idea of the ‘motion portrait’
awesome work dustin! great session and love the natural feel of the video with the handheld movement and focusing!

A few weeks ago, I met up with Kaitlin & Mike for their engagement session at the Grosse Pointe Academy where Kaitlin used to go to school. It was a perfect place or some fun pics of the two and we had some lovely light as well
I adore this session and am excited to see them both in less than two weeks
Everything was shot with my Nikon F100, 24 f/1.4, 35 f/1.4, 50 f/1.4, and 85 f/1.4 on Kodak Portra 400 and processed by the awesome peeps at Richard Photo Lab.
Great photos, Dustin!!

I’ve wanted to photograph Kate for a while, so we made it happen on a crazy hot day. Kate, who is as equally awesome behind the camera, as in front of it came out to Ann Arbor for some pics and sushi
I love how everything turned out, but have to give her equal amount of credit for being so wonderful to photograph. All images shot with my Contax 645 loaded with Fuji 400H and the 45 f/2.8, 80 f/2, and 140 f/2.8 lenses.
lovely session with images she’ll treasure. love that contax & film.
