Kassy brought home some CD’s to upload onto my computer and I put in a Foo Fighters CD and Gracenote was confused. Not sure if it was in fact Foo Fighters or Michael Bolton. Where are the similarities there? Silly iTunes!

Back in October, I shot another fabulous wedding with my friend Nicole. It was a perfect autumn day and you know what that means….great light! Annie and Jon opted for a first sight which is always nice and gives more time to get some great images. The first sight took place on Independence Lake and in my opinion couldn’t have been better. The ceremony was held and the adorable Webster Church located in Dexter and the reception was at the ritzy Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor. I had a great time with Nicole, Annie, Jon and the bridal party!
Boys will be boys!

Love this moment…

Love this one more! I’m thinking 10×30 canvas!

Everything’s good.

I’m thinking the gentlemen are out numbered, what do you think?

Those are some pretty nifty argyle socks!

I was seeing RED!

Cute…

I love me some moody images!

One of my fav ring shots of the year…thank you mother nature!

It’s that time.

I told you the church was adorable!

And the crowd goes wild!!!

Some passion filled images to end the evening!

As you can tell, I was Nicole‘s W-I-D-E eye for the day. Make sure to check out her post to see some more stellar images! CLICK HERE!
I’ve now looked at these pictures a million times and I love them! We are definitely going to get a BIG copy of the panoramic pic by the lake.
Thanks so much for all your hard work-it was a pleasure working with you!
This summer, I tagged along with my buddy Nicole to photograph one of her brides from this past summer. I posted two versions of one of the pics on my blog back then and haven’t really looked at them since. Today, I was looking for a file and I stumbled across this one. This image was taken as a test, to check my metering for the sky to make sure it is what I wanted. I then turned on my flash to illuminate Melinda. With this one, I thought it could use a little dreamy, moodiness, so this is what it turned out like. What do you think?
What a cool pic!
What happened to the pics at the top of your blog??
Dustin, this is gorgeous! Melinda was one of my fabulous brides also.
I am blown away by this shot. Amazing.
dreamy, dreamy, dreamlike… beautiful and illuminating even as it conveys something mysterious and exciting…..
OMG!!!!
This is an amazing shot! Good thing you found it! It is so dreamy and romantic. LOVE IT!
I love the anonymity of the shot and the representation of overwhelming joy that most brides feel on their wedding day.
I like it…as art. Not as a portrait, because you can’t really see the person. But it makes me feel something, so I like it.
Awesome shot!
I like it Dustin, good work!
Last weekend I had the pleasure of hopping on the train and going to Chicago to photograph the wedding of Rachel and Terry with my buddy Kenny Kim. It was definitely a change from the weddings I have been photographing in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. I started out the day with Terry and his ‘big’ brother Frank before heading downtown Chicago to meet up with Kenny, David, and the ladies at the Renaissance Hotel. Rachel looked stunning, reminding me of a ‘classic beauty’. The two opted for a first sight and did so on the terrace of the hotel with the city in the background. We drove around town for a little while stopping and grabbing some shots before heading to the Metropolitan Club on the 66th floor of the Sears Tower. The ceremony and reception took place above the city and the city lights only added to the beautiful ambiance that was already present. All in all a very relaxed, enjoyable weekend and I love to be able to be there to share such and amazing day with such genuine, fun people. Thank you to Kenny for having me come out and shoot with you and thank you to Terry and Rachel for letting me be a part of your day.
Who taught who?
Frank and Terry ready to go!
Tears of joy…
Waiting for his bride…
A smiling bride is a happy bride!
How perfect…
Awww…
They’ll be doing this for years to come…
Here we are; David, me, and Kenny. Pic from Kenny’s blog…check it out!
Dustin,
Someone pointed out that my tear is an upside down heart! I didn’t even catch that, did you? Tears of joy and love.
Dustin!
The photos are beautiful! We LOVED hanging out with you on our special day!
